Uncle David and Auntie Debbie are planning a trip to Greece. And if things go well, I will be accompanying them for their visit to Athens, Loutraki and Corinth.

Day 1

• Fly into Athens
• Drive to Loutraki and get settled in either the villa or the hotel Athan’s friend owns.
• Go shopping for groceries for breakfast and lunch the following day.
• Depending on the time, we could drive around Loutraki along the beach and walk around the town, then go out for dinner at a restaurant right along the Corinthian Sea.

Day 2

• Eat breakfast at the villa. (There’s a kitchen to prepare breakfast, and there are fresh oranges growing outside the back door to pick and eat and make orange juice.)
• Drive along the beach road toward Heraion, the furthest point of the Perachora peninsula.
• Along the way, we will stop at several monasteries along the way toward Heraion.
• Visit Lake the Lagoon before Heraion.
• Drive to Heraion and walk around the ruins, then eat lunch overlooking the Corinthian Sea.
• Drive back along the sea and visit St. Paul’s church where his body is actually buried.
• Dinner at a restaurant along the sea in Loutraki.

Day 3

· Eat breakfast

· Drive to through the city of Corinth to the Corinthian ruins

· After visiting the ruins of Corinth and the museum, drive up the mountain to the Corinth Castle for a hike and lunch overlooking the city of Corinth and the Corinthian Sea.

· Hike

· Go to the Corinthian Canal

· Drive along the Aegean Sea to Epidauros to see the ancient amphitheater before it closes.

· Drive back through the mountains along the olive tree ranches toward Corinth for dinner at the harbor outside restaurant.

Day 4

· Drive to Athens

· Go to the Acropolis to see the Parthenon. This will take a lot of time because the area is very large and there is a lot to see including the museums there.

· Eat lunch downtown in the open market area.

· Go shopping around there.

· Go to Loutraki Oil Company for a tour of the olive oil making process.

· Go out for dinner with Athan.

· Head to Loutraki

Day 5

Drive to Athens to fly to the other islands for the remainder of the trip.

Well, we’re here in Greece! It’s a beautiful country! Driving on the freeway was an experience. The traffic here moves so fast! We were doing almost 140 kph and some people were definitely doing a lot more. They were zipping on by us.

We are in Loutraki now and enjoying the weather. It’s perfect weather. Athan is a wonderful host and took us out for dinner tonight. We ate so much food we were stuffed!

Tomorrow, we are going to go up the coast of Loutraki along the Corinthian Sea towards some ruins.

Yeah! We are going to Greece! I have 6 students who have committed to going and it should be lots of fun. We are planning to go to Loutraki and stay in a friend’s villas near the beach, go sightseeing around the area by van that I will drive and eat lots of wonderful Greek food.
